Erin Hawkins, Ed. S, NCC, LPC, LCPC, LMHC
Hi, I’m Erin, and I genuinely love the work I get to do.
I work with teens, women, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and especially moms who are carrying the invisible mental load. My main areas of focus are anxiety and complex trauma, but I’m also deeply passionate about helping people untangle people-pleasing patterns, strengthen boundaries, and navigate life transitions with more confidence and clarity.
For the past 10 years, I’ve been immersed in the therapy world - starting my career in the psychiatric hospital setting and then serving as a school counselor for five years before opening my private practice. Those experiences have shaped how I show up: calm in hard moments, grounded in crisis, and deeply attuned to how early experiences and environments impact the nervous system and relationships long-term.
In our work together, we’ll focus on emotional processing; learning how to identify, understand, and actually feel your emotions rather than pushing them aside. I bring the clinical expertise, but you are the expert on your life. Therapy with me is collaborative and empowering. You guide the direction, and you have control over what we focus on each week. While we will absolutely address current stressors, this is not a quick-fix space. Healing trauma and long-standing patterns takes time, safety, and consistency and we’ll move at a pace that feels right for you.
I strive to create a safe, inclusive space where you can show up fully as yourself. My approach integrates evidence-based modalities including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, EMDR, Trauma-Focused approaches, all with a feminist lens. My goal is to help you build coping tools, gain meaningful insight, and reconnect with your sense of agency so you can feel more confident, grounded, and fulfilled in your life.
If you’re ready to better understand yourself, build stronger boundaries, feel more confident, and reclaim a sense of control in your life — I’d love to walk alongside you.
