You learned how to survive, now it’s time to learn how to live
Trauma-informed therapy for teens, women, and mothers ready to heal from relational trauma, people-pleasing, perfectionism, and life's biggest transitions—including pregnancy and postpartum.
Erin Hawkins, Ed. S, NCC, LPC, LCPC, LMHC
Hi, I’m Erin!
I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes that many of the ways we struggle today were once the ways we learned to survive.
Whether you find yourself people-pleasing, overthinking, carrying the weight of everyone else's emotions, or feeling disconnected from who you are, these patterns didn't develop overnight—and they aren't signs that something is wrong with you. More often, they're adaptations shaped by your life experiences, relationships, and the environments that taught you what it meant to feel safe, accepted, or loved.
I integrate evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy, trauma-focused interventions, Cognitive Processing theory, attachment-based work, and Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed concepts to create a therapy experience that's tailored to you. One of my favorite parts of therapy is helping clients connect the dots between their past experiences and the patterns they're still living today.
I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely seen, supported, heard, and accepted. My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you can reconnect with yourself, build healthier boundaries, strengthen your relationships, and move with greater confidence, self-trust, and authenticity. Together, we'll help you move from surviving to living with greater confidence, connection, and self-trust.

Therapeutic Approaches: Tailored to You
No two clients experience trauma, anxiety, or life transitions in exactly the same way. That's why I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw from several evidence-based therapies depending on your goals, experiences, and where you are in your journey.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): Helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they no longer feel as emotionally overwhelming in the present.
Attachment-Based: Examines how early relationships influence the way you connect with yourself and others today, creating opportunities for healthier, more secure relationships.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): Identifies unhelpful thoughts and behaviors while building practical skills to manage anxiety, improve emotional regulation, and create meaningful change.
Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT): Explore patterns and examine how trauma has shaped the way you think and relate to yourself, and develop more balanced, compassionate perspectives
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT): Helps you identify, experience, and process emotions in a safe and supportive environment, strengthening emotional awareness and resilience.
Internal Family Systems (IFS)-Informed Therapy: Explores the different "parts" of yourself with curiosity and compassion, helping you better understand protective patterns like people-pleasing, perfectionism, or self-criticism.
