Frequently Asked Questions

What clients do you work with and how often do we meet?

I work with teens, women, parents, families and couples located in Missouri and Kansas!

Starting out, I suggest for clients to be seen weekly to build rapport and set treatment goals. Sessions can move to bi-weekly or monthly depending on the client’s individual needs.

How much are sessions?

  • -Individual Therapy (50 minutes): $150

  • -Family/Couples Therapy (50 minutes): $175

(These are out of pocket rates, insurance rates vary by plan and coverage)

What is your cancelation policy?

If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, it is required that you provide more than 24 hours notice. If you miss a session without canceling, or cancel with less than a 24 hours notice, you will be charged for the cost of a private pay session, $150.00 for an individual session or $175 for a couples/family session.

Do you offer in person or virtual therapy?

Both! My office is located in Liberty, MO but I am able to offer telehealth through a confidential, HIPAA compliant platform.

What is your availability?

I currently see clients on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between the hours of 9am-4pm.

Do you take insurance?

I am currently paneled with Aetna, BCBS of KC, Cigna, and Optum.

If your insurance is outside of those listed, I am happy to provide you with a superbill as an out-of-network provider. This is a receipt of your payments that you can choose to submit to your insurance as a claim for possible reimbursement.

*There is a possibility that I’m not able to accept every plan within the insurances listed above. Copay rates also vary based on individual insurance plans. It is recommended that you contact your insurance company to know what is/isn’t covered and if your specific plan covers mental health.

Why do some clients prefer to not use insurance ?

Some clients choose to not use insurance because they do not want insurance involved in their treatment. When using insurance, you have a diagnosis that is in your health record, your insurance has access to personal information, and insurance can dictate the number of sessions they will cover. You have more control over your personal preferences and goals.
